With the Renkly video greeting card, you can upload your finished MP4 video and then design the cover. Alternatively, transfer the video yourself via USB after delivery. The card has a 7-inch display and plays the stored video with sound when opened.
What do you need before ordering?
- A finished MP4 video if you want Renkly to load it for you.
- A photo, text or logo for your cover.
- Time to check your video and design before ordering.
A collection of individual photos is not yet a video. To play a photo slideshow with music, first export it as a video file. For help with cover design or video editing, request an individual quote. This additional service is separate from loading a finished video for free.
1. Check your video file
Play the whole MP4. Are the picture, sound and sequence correct? Are names and captions readable? Export any changes from your video editor before uploading. Simply renaming a file to “.mp4” does not convert it.
The product description states a video length of up to approximately 15 minutes, depending on file size. This is not a blanket guarantee for every MP4: export settings and file size also matter. If you are unsure about your file, ask Renkly before ordering.
2. Choose how your video will be loaded
Open the video greeting card product page and select “Personalize now”.
- You want Renkly to load the video: choose the upload service. Upload your file first, then design the cover.
- You want to transfer it yourself: go straight to the cover designer. After delivery, transfer your video via USB following the supplied instructions.
3. Complete and confirm the upload
- Open the file picker in the upload step and select your finished MP4.
- Wait for the transfer to finish.
- Confirm the file in the upload window if a confirmation is displayed.
- Once the successful upload is shown, continue to the cover design.
Important: Selecting a file does not mean that its upload is complete. If the button to continue to the cover design remains disabled, check the upload status and file confirmation first.
4. Design the cover
In the cover designer, upload images for printing and add text or a logo. It is intentional that this editor offers image files rather than videos: the video for the screen is added in the preceding upload step.
Check cropping, names, dates and placement in the preview. Confirm your design in the editor, then review your details in the cart before completing your order.
5. Check the finished card
If you chose to transfer the video yourself, load it via USB after delivery, following the supplied instructions. Then open the card and check the picture, sound and volume before giving it. The control buttons include pause, resume and volume adjustment.
